Holbox Island definitely has some of the largest Tarpon in the entire peninsula.
Off the northern coast, the giant migratory Tarpon traverses the entire island during its season. Fishing in Holbox is considered one of the most spectacular in the world for trophy “silver kings” (giant Tarpon).
To the south, there are miles of lagoons filled with juvenile Tarpon and Snook.
Off the north shore, migratory giant Tarpon run the length of the island when in season; in fact, the Holbox fishery is considered to be one of the most spectacular in the world for trophy silver kings.
Enjoy fly fishing in Holbox on a 7-hour session from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Boat comes with guide for two people, drinks on board (water and soft drinks), equipment, snacks, ice, and cooler.

Baby Tarpon Madness in Holbox

I had an amazing fishing trip in Isla Holbox, exploring the beautiful mangroves and endless fishing spots in all kinds of environments. The nature was absolutely stunning! Our guide, was exceptional — his knowledge of the area and ability to locate fish made all the difference. He put in a huge effort to make the trip a success, always keeping the customer experience as his top priority. Thanks to him, we managed to hook quite a few nice baby tarpon on light tackle. An unforgettable experience that I can fully recommend to anyone looking for a true Holbox fishing adventure!
