There's a fish with your name on it in Saco Bay and Keeper Charters will help you catch it! Captain Marco will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from his 50+ years of angling experience. This is Keeper Charter 13th year in operation.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Cod, Bluefish, Haddock, Pollock, Striped Bass, and plenty more. We can also tend lobster traps as part of your charter. You keep the legal sized lobsters!
On most trips, we fish very near shore using live Mackerel we catch at the start of the trip. The Mackerel are kept live and used to entice Striped bass. Capt. Marco also offers fly fishing for Striped Bass and offshore trips for Cod, Pollock, and Haddock. We have life jackets for every age, including children one year and up. No age limit. Infant lifejackets must be provided by customer.
You'll be casting lines from a 23' Sea Hunt center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials to make your trip enjoyable. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. High quality rods, reels, and tackle are provided.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by our charter boat licensing, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
A few items to bring include a light jacket, hat, sunglasses, and sunblock. Alcohol is allowed. No hard liquor. You're welcome to bring snacks and drinks so that everyone stays happy and energized!

We took our son out with Marco on a four hour trip. Before the trip, Marco was extremely responsive to any questions. He did an excellent job being both our fishing guide and tour guide. We really liked how varied the trip was: started off by looking at seals in a little cove, followed by bait fish catching, then lobster traps, and finally some trawler fishing. Whew! I can’t believe that we fit all of that into four hours. Marco was EXCELLENT the whole way. Super responsive to questions and excellent with helping our 12 year old and having him help out. Thanks so much Marco, it was worth every penny!

Captain Marcos was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable, he was patient and made sure we were catching something as we have had no success shore fishing. We caught so many mackerel, cod, and even 6 striped bass. If you are thinking should I do one of this trips, stop thinking and just book your adventure asap! This will be part of our yearly summer adventure.

My family had an awesome time out with Keepers Charter yesterday! The weather was beautiful and Capt. Marco was personable and an excellent host! We caught several huge fish and my kids loved checking the lobster traps & being able to bring them home. Capt. Marco also fileted the fish right there on the boat for us, so those came home on ice with us as well. Highly recommend, as it was the best Charter experience we've ever had, and we've had several!

Operating a 23' Sea Hunt center console, Capt. Marco (14th charter season), a retired 4th grade teacher, ensures a fun fishing adventure on the waters off the coast of Old Orchard Beach and Saco, Maine. Your experience will include jigging for mackerel and livelining those mackerel for voracious striped bass, or perhaps you'll choose an offshore trip to fish for tasty haddock. Tending lobster traps can also be part of your trip. You keep the legal lobsters! 2026 promises to be another strong fishing season on Saco Bay and the Gulf of Maine.
