Spend the day with Red Dot Charter and let them show you what makes the fishing in Fairview so memorable!
You're likely to fish for Walleye, and more. On these trips, it’s common to troll.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Capt. Michael will bring you aboard a 20' Lund fishing boat that holds up to 3 passengers. It has downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
