If you're ready to start fishing in Chincoteague, book a trip with Reed and Reel Fishing Company. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain William can tell you all about the local fishery.
These waters are known for Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Striped Bass, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Black Seabass, Cobia, Gray Triggerfish, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself! Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Kids are welcome, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 24' Carolina Skiff with space for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Capt. William has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be bottled water provided.

Captain "Billy" Reed is one busy Dude. Charter Captain, professional firefighter/EMT, volunteer firefighter/EMT, Chincoteague Cowboy (pony wrangler), and volunteer for the Chincoteague Fireman's Carnival food services, not to mention a new father of a 3 month old daughter. Did I mention he's busy? Captain Billy's charter skills are on point: he's knowledgeable about fishing, birds, winds, water, ponies and local Chincoteague/watermen history. He made our trip a lot of fun. We caught flounder and a large ray. He quickly fileted the flounder and released the ray. Thanks Captain Billy.

It was a pleasure! thanks for choosing me, hope to see you soon

First time in the area. One of the things we wanted to do was go fishing. My husband, son and I did the three hour excursion. They caught a couple of flounders and had a great time. Our host Billy was awesome. We will definitely come back again. I really appreciate him letting me bring my dog during the trip. Thank you!
Capt Billy was very professional and easy to talk to. We had a great experience out on his boat. The fish eere not biting until closer to dark. My son was then able to reel in a 51 inch Drum and won’t stop talking aniut it. was the highlight of our trip. Will book again if Im back in the area. Thanks!

glad you enjoyed it!
we had a great time fishing with Captain Reed. we caught flounder and HUGE HUGE rays which were fun even though you dont keep them. lost a few fish too. great knowledge and his love for chincoteague really made the trip an enjoyable experience!
I wanted to book a trip with someone who knew alot about the island. Captain William has excellent knowledge of the history of the island and gave me great information about all the fishing available in the area. A true pleasure to spend a 4 hour trip with him.We caught alot of fish noting legal but if you’re a fisherman you know thats just how it goes some days. I have taken many charters and his trip was right up there with the best. Don’t miss out on this charter. I know I will be booking the next time I am in the area
