Top targets include Bonefish, Goliath Grouper, Cero Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Hogfish, Great Barracuda, Horse-eye Jack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Almaco Jack, and more with any luck. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Vaughn also offers fly fishing.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to keep their stamina going!
You'll be fishing aboard a 32' Wayward center console with a capacity for 12 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

First time in Belize
Our first time visiting Belize and I always try to go fishing no matter what part of the world our travel group goes. The girls wanted to go this time too and Vaughn put them on the Mahi! He even brought the filets to our house that evening since I forgot a cooler. Couldn't ask for better service!

I like Vaughn but i got hurt from how fast he ran the boat in tough seas. He should have taken it slowet. I have been in bed today with nerve damage and total numbness of my lower extremities. In fairness Vaughn does not know i was hurt it started after we returned to shore. Vaughn did put us on the fish. Like i said he is a good person just needs to take it easy in rough water. This is no way to spend my vacation laying in bed.

Beware of false information on website
Captain Vaughn knows how to take advantage of tourists with misinformation . His boat was crap and he was not friendly like almost every other person we met on our stay at Placencia. Charged us more than said on website but didn't tell us until we were out fishing. Cost me 200$ more than expected . Fishing in Belize definitely needs cover from the sun and there was none. The boat isn't 32' it's 23' and only has one engine.
