Fishing in New York is something that needs to be ticked off your bucket list as soon as possible. It’s very rare that a short ride out can suddenly make you feel a world away. But with D.C. Outdoor Adventures, that’s exactly what happens. Come have an awesome day out with Captain Dennis Caracciolo, who will put his decades of experience to good use, making sure you have an awesome day.
You’ll spend the day on board his beautifully maintained 28’ Parker boat, that can have you and 5 buddies fish without getting in each other’s way. If you can’t get a group together that size, don’t panic, Capt. Dennis also runs shared trips, so you can easily join another group and still have that great fishing experience.
The boat boasts twin 500 HP Yamaha engines and is outfitted with top of the line Raymarine navigational equipment. This, coupled with the captain’s knowledge of the area, will keep you on top of the fish all day.
There is something for everybody with D.C. Outdoor Adventures. For the kids and families, the inshore charters are great, especially for catching Flounder, Striper, Porgy, Seabass, Bluefish, and more.
Looking for something a bit more fast-paced? Try the Shark trip, where you’ll spend the day reeling in Hammerhead, Mako, Thresher, and Blue Shark. If chasing these awesome predators isn’t your cuppa tea, how about the Tuna trip instead, targeting Bluefin, Yellowfin, Albacore, and Bigeye Tuna.
If you want to take it up another notch and spearfish, bowfish, or fly fish, then just bring your own equipment to do so along on the day – let the captain know beforehand so he can make space for your gear. For all other types of fishing, the rods and reels (all excellent Penn gear) will be provided for you.

My 16‑year‑old son and I had an amazing half‑day trip with Captain Dennis. He’s incredibly knowledgeable - teaching us about the habitat, bait, fishing techniques, ocean and weather patterns, boating basics like how to remove the anchor and even a few “thumb rules” that only come from years on the water. My son was fully engaged the whole time,. We caught porgy’s and even a baby shark, which absolutely made his day. What stood out most was how confidently Captain Dennis navigated a few rough water patches. You could tell it came from years of experience. We always felt completely safe with him at the wheel. A fantastic father‑son experience and a captain I’d highly recommend.

The Yellowfin tuna charter was AMAZING. Captain Dennis and his first mate are the BEST around. They were very welcoming and really care about your experience. The trip was exceptional from start to finish and I landed my first Yellowfin! No matter what trip you book, you’ll have the best time of your LIFE. I had so much FUN on this trip with GREAT people. Capt Dennis and First Mate Mike were wonderful hosts and anglers. They welcomed us, helped us become acquainted with the boat and set-up, taught us fishing techniques one-on-one as needed, were attentive for the entire duration of the trip and responsive to our desires, and even filleted the fish for us at the dock allowing us to take some home. Catching fish is no guarantee, and our experience is not promised to others, but Capt Dennis got us on fish almost immediately and we pulled in about 10 blues in an hour. Capt Dennis and First Mate Mike were kind and professional. They provided all the fishing supplies necessary. We brought our own beverages and snacks.
Blake it was a pleasure fishing with you guys! Everyone listened to our instructions and they learned our technique of popping for blues and they all caught nice fish. You guys are welcome back anytime!
