There's a fish with your name on it in Destin and Catching Memories will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Brian knows them forwards and back.
These waters are known for Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Lane Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Wahoo, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before "Fish on!" On these trips, it’s common to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Capt. Brian will bring you aboard a 46' Post sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. License is provided at the cost of the trip. Boat also has outriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures, Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 20% to show your appreciation.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. There will be bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own drinks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

The first mate did an awesome job keeping bait on our hooks and taking the fish off quickly. The crew worked hard to get us as many fish as we could. Caught an amberjack, several red snapper, and some mingo’s. Catching the bait fish was a lot of fun also. We did the 8 hour trip. The captain kept in touch on the weather. Great communication. Will defiantly be using them again.

12 Hour Trip on August 17, 2026 • 3 adultsAbsolutely incredible trip. Captain Matt put us on the fish all day, and Mate Bob worked his tail off from start to finish. We ended up with three cobia along with a great box of fish, but honestly the crew made the trip every bit as memorable as the fishing. By the end of the day it felt more like we were fishing with friends than taking a charter. Professional, hardworking, laid-back and just genuinely good people. We had an absolute blast and would book with Catching Memories again without hesitation. One of the highlights of an already incredible vacation. Highly recommend these guys. Will definitely be back

I had my 11 yr old grandson with me and the reels were hard for him to handle but the crew helped him a lot. Maybe a smaller rod could have been helpful. We caught alot of fish but could only keep 2 due to size restrictions. Overall just the experience was worth the trip.

We had the unfortunate experience of the boat experiencing engine issues on the morning trip before us. The captain had to cancel our trip that afternoon, but offered to reachedule us for the next day. Brian went above and beyond trying to accomdate us, but we just couldn’t make it work due to us leaving to go home. will try again next year!!
We went after a storm had just came through, but the captainwas still able to get us on a lot of fish. Both the captain and deckhand were very help full. This trip would be good for a family looking to get out on the water or experienced anglers wanting to get out. Captain had drinks for us so we didnt have to bring anything besides ourselves.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 25% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
