Captain TJ George has been in the charter industry since 2001 and loves working with complete beginners and seasoned pros alike. Let him show you these incredible waters and get you on some trophy fish!
The “High Cotton” is a 31’ Gulfstream offshore sportfishing vessel with plenty of room for you and your group to fish and relax in comfort. She is fully air-conditioned and boasts a private head and plenty of room to sit and rest out of the sun. She also has a large flybridge to take in the view in style.
What you target will depend on the trip you choose, with anything from Mackerel to Tuna to delicious Red Snapper on the menu. Whatever you’re after, the boat’s modern electronics will pinpoint the best spots to catch it. She also has a wide range of quality equipment and a livewell bursting with bait to make sure you catch the best of each species.
The High Cotton crew is very friendly and professional. They are happy to tailor your trip to your skills and interests and love working with beginners and children. Everything from rods and reels to bait and licenses are provided by the boat, and your fish will be cleaned and filleted after your trip. Just bring a big cooler, any food and drink for the day, and plenty of sunscreen.
The customary gratuity for the First Mate is 18~20%.

Shark trip!!
Amazing experience
Booked a 4 hour shark fishing trip with High Cotton on short notice. Didn’t know what to expect but it was awesome! Captain Will and first mate Andreas took great care of us. Hooked a 100 pound black tip shark within minutes of leaving the harbor. Caught a bunch of Spanish mackerel and Bonita on the way to our destination. Then we caught an estimated 8 foot/400 pound tiger shark. Incredible! The kids loved it. Will and Andreas were confident, knowledgable, and fun. Had a great time! Highly recommend. Amazing family memories. Will be calling them next year for another trip.

I can not say enough wonderful things about the experience we had with High Cotton Charters. I will have to agree with other reviews and say our favorite part of the trip was the quick prayer before we took off. The kids were each able to catch several fish. We come to this area every year for vacation and I believe this will become a yearly activity for us with High Cotton Charters. We did the two hour trip and it was perfect for our younger children. Looking forward to a longer trip next time!

5 hour adternoon
Mingos
We caught get a bunch of Mingos, some red snapper and trigger fish. We had the triggers cooked at Brotula’s at the captain’s recommendation. It was amazing. Captin William did a great job. The trip was kid friendly and we all had a blast. For kids ages 10 and 13, I would say 5 hours was a bit long. They had plenty of fun but got pretty worn out. We also got to see a bunch of spotted dolphins out there. I would book with High Cotton again.

Shark trip!!
Shark trip
Took my 11 yr old daughter on a shark trip. Captain William was on top of it the whole time. Very nice. Equipment was in great shape. Got to the place he was looking for. I think he caught the shark yawning and just dropped the hook in its mouth. And the fight was on. Landed a 5 ft sand shark. Had a blast. Will use them next trip we go fishing for sure!!
