Spend the day with Papa Woody's Charters and let him show you what makes the fishing in Flaming Gorge so memorable! Having logged many hours on the water, Captain Eric can tell you all about the local fishery. I have recently joined Captain Dan and the team of guides at Cedar Springs Marina. Between all of our knowledge and experience you will have a chance at a trophy fish.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Lake Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Smallmouth Bass, Brown Trout, and Rainbow Trout. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, jigging, or bottom fishing depending on what species you want to catch.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Child-sized life vests are available. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your vessel for the day is a 21' Hewescraft that can carry up to 4 anglers and has a heated cabin for those chilly days and brisk morning trips. It comes with fish finders, live scope, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures and bait.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray) and camera. Weather appropriate attire is required. There will be some drinks on offer, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Alcohol is not allowed.
Make your day complete and stop by the Snag Bar and Grill for great food, drinks, and to brag about your catch.

Great time on the lake with Papa Woody’s!
He made the mistake of calling me by the wrong name when we met at the dock….I immediately knew we were going to have a great day! We spent the morning chasing after lake trout, that were big teases! We were only able to bring 1 on board before heading out to find the salmon and a quicker pace. It took us a minute to find them, but with his afternoon open, Captain Eric kept us on the water until we had caught our limit. The only bad thing about our day on the lake with Eric, was when our adventure was over. 10/10 would recommend booking a trip! Thanks for a fun day, Eric! See you in June for the sons trip, Denise 😉

Great Experience !!!
My husband’s birthday trip!!! and exciting it was. We caught 5 kokanee salmon and 1 trout. He has the best and latest technology as well as experience to make that happen. The scenery of the Flaming Gorge is breathtaking not to mention the osprey wildlife. We encountered a wind storm which notched up the excitement but Captain Woody knew exactly what to do and where to go. The boat cabin made that unexpected adventure a-lot more comfortable. Well worth the trip and we will be back!

AWESOME DAYOF FISHING
Captain Eric went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. I am an experienced angler and I learned many new things from Eric. His boat was very roomy and comfortable. We absolutely wore out the Kokanee Salmon. It was a busy day the quantity and quality of fish was impressive. It was well worth the trip from Texas. My wife and I will definitely be using him again and will we highly recommend him regardless of your experience level.
