Around here the fishing is popular for Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, and more if conditions allow. You can expect to do some trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your adventure begins aboard a 21' Crestliner Commander 2050 Aluminum fishing with room for 4 passengers. It comes with downriggers, all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

My husband Jeff and I had the best time! The boat was immaculate and Brian was so helpful. He literally had to do body contortions to net some of the fish! He was friendly, kind, and I recommend Black Cloud Adventures and Brian 1,000%! We were told the fish were biting extra early so we met Brian at the launch at 4:30 a.m. instead of 5:00! By 5:30 we had four big salmon in the cooler! We ended up with seven fish: 4 King Salmon and 3 Coho!

Cpt. Brett was great from start to finish. We had to adjust our trip due to bad weather and he worked to do everything possible to make our trip happen. Once we were out he worked to put us on fish. He adjusted lures and depths until the fish started biting and helped a land some quality trout and salmon. Would absolutely book again!
Wow, what a wonderful day on Lake Michigan. We caught some jumbo king salmon. More importantly, we had a blast. Even better, we were treated like royalty.
