Jacob specializes in bowfishing, which is what you'll be doing on the day of your trip. You may also bottom fish, for your catch. Jacob has all the bowfishing gear you need, so all you have to bring is good aim!
Tilapia, Snook, Bowfin, Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, Carp, and more could be biting, depending on conditions.
Fish that meet size and bag requirements are yours to keep. Jacob will even clean your catch for you so it's ready to fry up at home. That's dinner, right there! Jacob can take groups as large as 4 on this guided experience. You'll be fishing without a boat, so expect to make your way on foot at least part of the time and come dressed for current weather conditions.

Your fishing license for the day is not included, so members of your group may need to buy one . You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. You're encouraged to dress in layers and the proper footwear (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask). It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock, and bottled water, no matter the weather.
Jacob will have drinks for you, and if you wish to bring your own simply ask. Ready to have the whole family unplug? Then you'll be glad to know that kids are more than welcome. Remember to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you'll have to bring your own.

We booked a trip with Jake’s Extreme Land Based Adventures with the goal of learning the area and targeting some of the exotic and invasive species found throughout the Everglades system. My son and I were joined by Jake’s buddy Mike, who was also there helping out. The trip went exactly as planned. We caught tons of fish, learned a lot of new water, and picked up techniques and locations that helped us later in the week. We ended up fishing some of the same spots on our own afterward and actually did even better than we did on the initial trip. I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a laid-back shore fishing experience with nonstop action and a chance to really learn the Everglades fishery.
