As someone who has almost zero fishing experience, i didn’t know what to expect, but this fishing trip checked all the boxes for me. The boat was small, but that was good, since it was only the 2 of us and the captain. We started with trolling for salmon back and forth along the shore and almost immefiately caught a Coho. The second one took longer andxwe were almost at the middle of our allocated trip time, so we decided to return to shallow waters to try our luck with other species. in less than an hour we caught 2 huge lingcods and a few rockfish and headed back to the port.
We had an awesome experience with Rebel Sport Fishing Charters out of Ucluelet. Graham was really responsive and easy to communicate with, which made booking and getting everything set up super smooth. Raph was the one who took us out fishing, and he was great. He was a super cool guy, really funny, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip a good time. He put us on a really solid spot where we got hit multiple times by salmon, landed one salmon, and also caught five lingcod. You can tell these guys know the area and care about making sure you have a good experience. The trip was fun, relaxed, and productive, and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to fish out of Ucluelet.

I was considering cancelling my fishing trip after going through an unexpected personal misfortune days before, and couldn't be happier that I decided to keep my reservation. We caught plenty of fish including salmon, cod and rockfish which the captain did a very professional job of cleaning up later. The waters and surrounding landscapes were beautiful. Ralph even pointed out a few passing harbour porpoises, which was really cool. He clearly has a firm command of these waters and the fish that inhabit them, and most of all is just a pleasant guy to spend a day with.
I took my ten year old son out on a trip with Raph. Small boat, but a knowledgable guide who had a lot of confidence. This was our first of this sort of outing and we were a tad uncomfortable at first so raph slowed us down and everything went well. We caught 3 salmon and 3 rockfish, which he cleaned and filleted for us. Communication with the company owner in the days leading up was a little awkward. Whomever answered the phone always seemed confused that I was calling, and that I wasn't an experienced fisherperson. That said, positive experience overall, would recommend!
My son and I joined Captain Raff on a 4-hour trip - was fantastic. Raff was easygoing and knowledgeable, took us into a few hotspots where we got a couple of fish on, listened to great music, and had some new experiences. We managed to haul one aboard (non-conventional, but a catch is a catch) and Raff was super patient with our steep learning curve. Great time.
