Depending on the season, you might hook into Pacific Barracuda, Black Rockfish, Coral Trout, Dusky Grouper, Red Grouper, Green Jobfish, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Bluefin Trevally, Bigeye Trevally, Giant Trevally, and whatever else takes the bait.
You'll target your catch by popping, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
If you're traveling with the family, youwill be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll find yourself aboard a 25' Panga with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Rods and reels are not supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is not allowed. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
