Had a blast! Highly recommend. We have been with alot of guides trying to find one to stick with for a yearly trip. This is definitely the one, caught a lot of fish even though conditions were not fairable. Capt. Conlon with Gills and Bills was far above the rest. Will definitely see you again next year and hopefully many more.

Got a limit of reds,didn’t take long Mr. Austin Woods was our captain he is very knowledgeable about the area, it was my son and I that was fishing. I would highly recommend Gills and Bills for your next trip, I will definitely book again when I return to Lake Charles.

We had an awesome day out on the water with Austin. He put us right on the fish and made sure we were catching them the entire time. Super hands on, super helpful and just a fun guy. We caught several fish and had the best time. I highly recommend booking with this guide service.

First day out my son and grandson caught a good mess of fish especially considering the fishing conditions. The second day we were not so lucky and did not catch much of anything due to the conditions. The fishing was mostly fishing in the ship channeling which was not what I expected but that was my problem. I wouldn’t book another trip here unless we were fishing south in the big lake area but I don’t think that would be possible on. 4 hour trip. Please understand this has no reflection on our captain, he was very personable and worked hard to find fish. We would use him again.

I'd like to clarify a few details for anyone considering a trip with us. Before your charter, we discussed the current fishing conditions and the available options. I explained that meeting farther south would have increased the odds of catching trout based off current conditions. I also recommended targeting redfish closer to the casino area, where guides had been consistently catching limits. While I made recommendations based on the current conditions, the final decision was yours, and you chose for casino pickup and to target trout. As for fishing the ship channel, that's actually where the best trout bite typically is during this time of year. While it may not have been what you expected, it was the location that offered the best opportunity based on the seasonal conditions. Fishing is never guaranteed, and weather, tides, water clarity, and fish movement change daily. We always do our best to communicate current conditions honestly and recommend the option that gives our customers the best chance for success.
