High Tide Charters is run by Captain Andrew out of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is a full-time guide in the Lake Charles area and has spent his whole life on the water around these parts. He's caught fish in just about every stretch of water from Calcasieu to Sabine Lake and the Gulf of Mexico. He specializes in light tackle inshore fishing for Speckled Trout and Redfish.
Most of the year is spent fishing Redfish and Trout, and depending on the season you will also chase for Flounder, Cobia, and Tripletail. During wintertime, the coveted trophy sized Speckled Trout is a popular target. Whether you want to chase schooling Trout for fast action fishing, sight cast Redfish in the shallow Louisiana marshes, or go nearshore to try your hand at fighting a big Cobia or Tripletail, Captain Andrew has you covered.
You will be fishing out of a 2017 Haynie 25' bay boat powered by a 350 HP Mercury Verado. The boat is built to ensure a safe ride and comfortable, spacious fishing room. It also includes all the necessary navigation and safety equipment, as well as a live well for bait.
Captain Andrew also offers pickup from the casinos in Lake Charles if you would like to stay there and be able to walk right out to the dock and head out on your trip. If you're looking for an authentic experience in fishing on and around the Louisiana coast, he's the man for the job. Those looking to bring their catch home should bring along an ice box if they have one. Live bait is not included and typically costs $10 per person, based upon the marina's price. Apart from that, make sure to bring sunglasses, don't forget your fishing license and you'll be fishing before you know it.

Captain Andrew was fantastic. He had a variety of artificial baits as well as shrimp. He was very personable and fun to uang with for the day. He was punctual with pick up time. We had a newbie fisher amd he was very patient with her and helped her out. He knew the area well and made sure we had a good time

We had an awesome day with Captain Andrew! We were able to get out on the water a smidge earlier than planned which was amazing and he knew all the right spots to hit. We caught our limit for the day then just kept fishing for fun. Great time out there, he is super knowledgeable with all the gear, bait & tips you need to max out & catch some good size fish. I would highly recommend booking your next fishing trip with him at High Tide Charters. Next time we come back to visit Lake Charles he will be our first choice! Thanks Andrew!
We had a wonderful fishing experience with Captain Dominic. He knew exactly where the fish were biting and we started catching trout right away. We moved to a 2nd location where we reeled in the big ones. My wife caught a 57 pound black drum and we put a couple of large redfish in the boat as well. Every location we moved to proved to be good for fishing. Constantly catching fish made us forget about the 100+ temperature outside. It was so worth it. Would definitely recommend High Tide and Captain Dominic.
Andrew was the perfect guide. He attended to every need, especially all the hang ups. Taught new tricks to fishing and we caught. Thank you so much for your service and kindness. Can’t wait to do this again.
