Captain Chris Mitchell has almost 40 years of fishing experience. He and his first mate are highly skilled in all techniques and are just the guys to help you reel in the biggest fish.
You'll cast from a 26' Sea Fox center console, powered by twin 150 HP Honda engines. It comes rigged with everything you need for a day on the water. There are top-of-the-line rods and reels for a variety of fishing techniques, an onboard toilet, and even a multimedia system for that extra little bit of comfort.
Capt. Chris and his crew know all the sweetest spots in the Gulf's nearshore. You'll get to choose from a range of lures and dead bait, and you can buy live bait as well. You can decide whether you'd like to troll, spin, or jig to try and reel in your target. Take home a prized catch at the end of the day, and the captain will clean it for you.
Expect to go after a range of prestigious game and table fish, such as Gag and Red Grouper, Spanish and King Mackerel, Amberjack, Triggerfish, and even Red Snapper when in season. You can also run into Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and Shark.
The crew will do all they can to make sure your trip with them goes above and beyond your expectations. Capt. Chris loves to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with seasoned anglers and first-timers alike. With water and Powerade provided to keep you hydrated and energized, just bring some snacks to keep your tummies full.

We booked a 3-hour nearshore charter with Captain Chris and it exceeded every expectation. He took us to three different spots and the fish were biting nonstop — we easily caught over 20 fish, including triggerfish, red snapper, red grouper, mingo snapper, sea bass, and more. The kids were having the time of their lives, sometimes reeling in two fish at a time! What really made the trip was Chris himself. He was encouraging, patient with the kids, and kept the energy fun the whole time. We even brought home mingo snappers and a beautiful red grouper. If you’re heading to Destin with family, stop searching — book Captain Chris. We already know who we’re calling next time we’re in town.

Had a great trip with Captain Chris. Ended up being just 4 of us which was a good number to spread out. We asked for a trip to catch red snapper for catch and cook and to target bigger fish. He worked hard for us and we caught several legal reds and 3 grouper and threw back countless triggerfish. Go with Captain Chris (Trigger) Mitchell for a good catch, good conversation and a great time in Destin.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 15% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
