Southern Sun Fishing Charters is a professional fishing guide service specializing in giving customers an outstanding and memorable time catching fish. Join Captain Charlie on the gorgeous inshore and nearshore waters of Orange Beach searching for species such as Redfish, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, and many others.
When you book a charter with Southern Sun Fishing Charters everything is provided, including bait, tackle, rods, licenses, and cleaning the fish. The only thing you need to worry about once you book a charter is having an awesome time.
You will go out aboard a 24' Triton center console. This is a clean and spacious boat with plenty of space for up to 5 anglers. The vessel comes powered by a single 250 HP Suzuki engine and is outfitted with the latest navigational and fish-finding electronics, as well as other professional accessories.
The trips are short and sweet. In just 4 hours, you'll have the opportunity to learn lots of new fishing tricks and fill your bucket with tasty fish. This was our family's first ocean fishing trip. The fishing was pretty tough. Cold weather (about 40° when we left the dock), and the fish just weren't biting. Captain Charlie worked his tail off to put us on fish, trying different types of bait, moving around to different locations, etc. He was very determined to make sure we left with something in the bucket! We did end up with enough for a meal. Captain Charlie was a very relatable, down to earth guy. His communication leading up to launch time was great, and he was super responsive with any questions we had. We would definitely recommend him to anyone who is out there looking for a fishing charter!

Had a great trip with Captain Charlie! We were not very experienced with fishing but thanks to him, we caught lots of fish and had a great time out on the water. Appreciated his expertise and knowledge of the best areas to catch different fish and we left with a great haul to cook up for dinner (with leftovers!!). Would definitely recommend him and his crew!

Captain Justin was awesome and worked his tail off to get us on some fish before a bad thunderstorm came in. Only downside was the weather which no one can control. Will definitely go with them again next time in Pensacola.
