My 15 year old son and myself had a excellent experience with Captain Charlie, he took the time and had a lot of patience teaching us the ropes of fishing in the Gulf my son had a great time he is already asking when we can come back and do it again. He is always in his room watching TV or playing video games, but he actually enjoyed fishing today more than anything.I will highly recommend Southern Son Fishing to anybody. Thank you Captain Charlie!!!!

Took my Dad and brother in law out on a 4 hour in-shore Trip with Captain Charlie. Fishing was a little slow but that was across the board this morning. Charlie did a great job finding fish and we did come home with some fish. I am currently planning my next trip with Captain Charlie and Southern Sun Charters!!! I highly recomend.

We had a great time fishing with Captain Charlie. Although the fish didn’t bite as good as we hoped, it was still a great experience. The other charters weren’t getting many bites either, but Captain Charlie worked hard to get us on them. He took us several different areas. He did some trolling, and we did some casting. He was great with the kids, who are 9 and 6. He told us a lot about the area. Just a great time overall and we’ll definitely be back on his boat next time we’re here.

Captain Charlie is a great skipper and very knowledgeable.  But more importantly a great guy. Fishing was not the best, but that’s fishing. My son and I caught a variety of fish, nothing large but certainly had a great time fishing with Charlie and Gil. Give them a try…you won’t be disappointed.

We caught six species of fish. Capt Charlie was friendly, approachable and willing to please. He also cleaned our catch as well.
