Hookz Sportfishing
Looking to cast a line in Virginia Beach? Hookz Sportfishing is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Tom knows them forwards and back.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Cobia, Black Drum, Flounder, Spadefish, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Speckled Trout, Redfish, Tautog, Sheepshead, and whatever else takes the bait. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Capt. Tom runs a 25' center console with space for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Tom will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now's the time to experience fishing in Virginia Beach for yourself, with Hookz Sportfishing!

My Son and I booked this trip because my son had never caught a Tog before and that's what was biting. We caught like 25 tog it was a fantastic day. Tom the captain and his mate Toby were great . Great tackle, boat and bait you can tell that he puts his time in on the water. We will be fishing with him again. Thank you for checking off tog on my son's bucket list. Thank you again for everything

We booked rhe sunset cruise and even though we didn't fish, I cannot recommend Captain Tom highly enough. He was down to earth, engaged and knowledgeable. We got to see dolphins up close and from his exact words "this never happens!" Great time!

Capt tried and tried to get us a Cobia. It didn’t happen but he made sure we still came home with plenty of other fish. He spent the time making sure we had a great day. Toby the mate was very good and took care of everything we needed. We learned a lot and had a great day.

The charter operator canceled 1 days prior to the trip date. This is an automated posting.
