Looking to cast a line in Virginia Beach? Hookz Sportfishing is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Tom knows them forwards and back.

Depending on the season, you might hook into Cobia, Black Drum, Flounder, Spadefish, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Speckled Trout, Redfish, Tautog, Sheepshead, and whatever else takes the bait.

On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Capt. Tom runs a 25' Center console with space for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water.

Capt. Tom will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
