Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!

You'll find yourself aboard a 26' Center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

If you are looking for a remarkable fishing trip with the most knowledgeable, fun, down to earth, genuine crew, these are your guys…. And this is your trip to book. My husband and I took our 4 kids (ages 4, 5, 7, and 9) and we had the absolute best experience. We caught a ton of beautiful fish and sharks! With each catch, this crew ensured our kids had such a memorable experience and taught them so much about each fish (and they were all different!). We also saw dolphins! This crew is the best charter experience we ever had and we would recommend them over and over again. They ensured our kids were safe, happy, and had a heck of a time! Genuine fellas, with a really comfortable and safe boat. It was a little rough waters when we went out and our ride was smooth and DRY. Thank you Captain Wayde and Mr Tyler for a wonderful memory we will never forget. See you next time!

3 Hour Trip – afternoon delight 1p on August 29, 2025 • 6 adults

My youngest son wanted to go deep-sea fishing for his 13th birthday, so I searched online all over and found Unorthodox Charter. The booking was super easy, and the captain got back to me within 20 minutes. He was flexible with our time, even since it wasn’t a fully booked day. We showed up with his brothers and friends and he made them feel right at home immediately (especially since this was the first time that anyone had gone deep sea fishing). He had multiple rods set up for them and had several stops that they were going to try. Everyone of my boys caught several fish and several different species of fish. They were thrilled! He was an amazing captain, and took such great care of my kids! We will be back soon!

4 hr shark fishing, Best Fishing trip ever 💯

My boys and I decided to try something a bit different this fishing trip, we always do one every summer our vacation I would have to say we had the best time ever . Our captain was so awesome It didn’t take him long at all to put us on some sharks and caught a few different other kinds of fish also in the process which topped it off, I would recommend this captain over and over and over. He is just awesome most of all great with kids , very patient , great personality just an all around laid back guy . He took extra time to make sure these boys got a shark . We caught a few and they loved it we will make sure we will use him again. Just can’t get no better than that. He definitely knows what he is doing, and you will not be let down. This was the best fun to end our summer vacation.

Half Day Trip with Captain Wayde

4 Hour Trip – breakfast run on July 30, 2025

Wayde was a great captain! Our trip consisted of 1 adult and 4 kids ranging from 5 to 12 years old; not an easy trip for a captain. Wayde was patient and great with the kids. He definitely put us on the fish, despite having to come in and fish the second half of the trip in the bay due to my youngest starting to get sea sick. There is no doubt he would have put us on many more fish had we been able to stay out. Wayde is very knowledgeable of the area and knows exactly what to do to put fish in the boat. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a good captain to fish with!

Amazing trip!!!

4 Hour Trip – Sharks (PM) on July 25, 2025

Wayde is the best! He was very helpful, friendly, and easy going. We booked the a 4 hour shark trip which it did not disappoint. The first fish, a huge hammerhead that he calls Jimmy, followed by 7 more sharks, a grouper and a red snapper. In between catches our group of 5 and Wayde had lots of laughs and learned alot about all the fish. The boat was clean and well organized and the equipment was in great condition. Wayde, we can't say thank you enough for the amazing trip and memories.
