Hook Ya Up
Holden Beach has a fish with your name on it, so let Hook Ya Up help you catch it!
Depending on the season, you might hook into Spanish Mackerel, Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Ladyfish, Blacktip Shark, Bluefish, Skipjack, Cobia, and anything else that bites. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be casting lines from a 21' Contender center console that holds up to 3 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Hook Ya Up!

We went for a quick two hour trip, because we had two smaller kids and didn’t want to over do it on their first trip. 15-minutes after leaving the dock we were doubled up on two keeper redfish!! Capt. Josh and First Mate Bentley know their stuff and were great with the boys. I wasn’t expecting much in the August heat, but we filled the boat with three keeper reds and caught and released a nice flounder. Capt. Josh cleaned up and fileted the reds and even gave us some of the best ways to cook them. We ate them today for lunch which just sealed the deal for us that Hook Ya Up was the right call! Thanks guys, and we will see you again next year!

FANTASTIC! what a trip! we love our kid trips, they never seem to fail. we are so glad you booked with us and glad we were able to help make some awesome memories. We are definitely looking forward to next year!
Capt Josh and Mate Bentley were incredible for our 2 hour kids charter. It was my kids very first fishing boat charter and they were thrilled that they kept catching fish after fish. We were looking for at least one catch but couldn't believe the experience. Josh and Bentley were so helpful getting them all set up and letting them reel in the fish themselves. The highlights were a 20 in flounder and red fish and too many croaker to count! We all had a great time out on the water making memories, laughing, chatting, and taking photos. My son was asking if he could please stay for the half day trip 😂 Hook Ya Up really did hook us up and I couldn't ask for more! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

WE LOVE THIS!!!! WE LOVE OUR KIDS TRIPS! thank you so much for booking with us, captain josh is the absolute best and our mate too!!! definitely keep our number and lets do it again!!! we are so glad we were able to be apart of memory making and great experiences!!
Let me start by saying that one cannot blame the captain for the weather. Storms passed just minutes before our departure time, and the ocean was too much for anything less than a 50' boat. We headed out behind the clouds, and caught a blue fish and black drum right away. Then nothing much the rest of the trip. Didn't see anyone else catching either, though. We tried all of Captain Joshua's hot spots and caught lots of pin fish instead of flounder. Even tried trolling off the point of Oak Island. Ended up with just the two big fish and some smaller croakers in the cooler. Once again, can't blame the Captain for the weather. We had a nice boat ride, got to see new species like lizard fish at a toad fish, even a puffer and tiny shark, and got to talk to the coast guard during a spot inspection. Captain Joshua passed with flying colors.

thank you for your review, thank you for understanding i don’t control everything. had a great time. hope to see yall again.
Captain Joshua and Bentley were great kept us entertained and lots of laughts. we had to cancel scheduled time due to weather but they worked with us for a later time in the day and stayed out later than their normal time. only hooked two fish but it was still a great time. first time out for my 9 year old grandaughter. And she reeled in the big catch of the trip.

thank you for booking with us!!
Captain Joshua took my family and I out for some morning fishing and we had an amazing time! He has been part of the fishing community here for many years and is extremely knowledgeable. I am a novice and he made it such a fun experience that I can’t wait to get back out there in the future. We caught plenty of fish, mostly spanish mackerel, but he even took us out to catch a shark, which we did. Great stories, good laughs, 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Looking forward to the next time!

very much enjoyed having yall, thank you very much and hopefully we can do it again soon.
