There's a fish with your name on it in Cabo San Lucas and Mahi Mahi Sportfishing will help you catch it!
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Roosterfish, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Shortbill Spearfish, Amberjack, Skipjack, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, and who knows what else!
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Capt. Nicolas believes in teaching kids to fish while they're young, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Capt. Nicolas runs a 31' Sportfishing that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Rods and reels are not covered by the charter, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
