The Marlin Marina Cairns
Cairns, QL, Australia

All Tackle Sportfishing are based out of Cairns, in Tropical North Queensland, Australia. They offer half and full day guided fishing trips to Trinity Inlet (within walking distance from the CBD), and full day trips to some of the local rivers just south of Cairns.

Their newly restored 20’ Cairns Custom Craft boat is powered by a 90HP Honda outboard motor. It features a spacious deck with a large cover for shade, and can comfortably accommodate up to six anglers. It also comes equipped with GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, live bait tank, and ice box for your drinks and snacks.

All Tackle Sportfishing offer both shared and private fishing charters, which are suitable for all levels of experience. Their half day trips are popular for those with limited time, while the full day river trips are often preferred by those who are a little more serious about their fishing. Private charters are limited to a maximum of 4 people for the full day river trips. Target species include Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Threadfin Salmon, Grunter, Trevally, Bream, Queenfish, Fingermark and more. The local wildlife is another added bonus, and the Saltwater Crocodile is not an unusual encounter in any of the local waterways!

The crew will supply you with top-quality tackle and bait, as well as a lifetime of local knowledge and guiding experience, while lunch will also be provided on full day river trips. Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, hat and camera, and you are more than welcome to bring a couple of beers along, however the crew emphasize that responsibility is preferred. Pickups are available by prior arrangement.

Fishing gone Bananas!!
Half Day Trip – Estuary (Shared) AM on July 18, 20252 adults
We fished in July so the water was quite cold, Justin took straight to fishing spot and, much to everyone's surprise, a Barra was caught inside 20 seconds!! We went to another spot and ended sip catching a few more. Justin was very knowledgeable easy to get on and provided great advice. It was going great until i felt hungry and got a banana out of my bag. Well, apparently it's a fishing no no and you should never take a banana on fishing trip. Needless to say, we didn't catch another fish!! All up though, we had a great time on the water, caught a fish and saw a croc too! Really enjoyed it, thanks Justin 😊👍

July fishing trip
Half Day Trip – Estuary (Shared) AM on July 9, 20251 adult
This was a really relaxing and enjoyable fishing trip! The captain was very attentive, adjusting our spots based on the sea conditions and helping everyone catch fish. He was also funny and lighthearted, which made the experience even better. I truly enjoyed the half-day out on the water and would recommend this to anyone looking to relax and enjoy fishing. Although I didn't catch anything myself, I was lucky enough to 'acquire a few' from others — haha! Everyone was super friendly and generous, and that made the trip even more heartwarming. Perfect day
Half Day Trip – Estuary (Private) on August 26, 20253 adults1 child
We booked a half-day trip for our son's birthday. The captain had everything perfectly organized. It started with catching shrimp as bait. We then headed to Cairns Bay and caught some great fish. The trip was crowned by the birthday boy's catch of a 105cm barramundi at a spot recommended by Justin. A perfect day. Thank you.

Great Morning
Half Day Trip – Estuary (Shared) AM on May 20, 20252 adults
Skipper Justin was a top bloke who has forgotten more about watercraft than i will ever know. He put us on the fish as good as anything. Any missed hits were on us no doubt. Walked away with a lovely Finger Mark for dinner and couldn't be happier. Great morning fishing in a stunning spot. Don't hesitate to book Justin for a day on the water. Thanks mate! I'll be back for that Barra one day soon. Tight lines and fair seas - Sam & Lynsey
