Its called fishing, not catching as the saying goes, but today we caught 6 Bonita (1 we used for bait) and 2 Mahi. Jared has 15 years of experience and kept 4 to 5 baited lines in the water at all times. All the charters are in contact with each other via radio trying to tract the bait fish and then find the big fish. 3-4 boats could be seen at any times all in our vicinity. Other boats today caught nothing. Expect to reel a 100yds worth of line if you have a fish on as the bait is far from the boat. Dont make the guide reel them in for you, then you are watching, not fishing. Trolling seems to be the choice for all the boats, not bottom fishing. We opted for 6hr tour to better our odds but bite ended by 3rd/4th hr. This boat is old and ugly, but with an experienced crew maybe best to catch fish on the water. I would recommend these guys if you are more into catching fish than a pretty boat.

Hi Thank you for the review Regards
I booked this trip as part of our 13th wedding anniversary. The owner, Cynthia, met us at the dock and immediately told us Happy Anniversary. The boat is dated as it is almost 50 years old but I found that to be really cool just thinking about all the Captains and all the fish that boat has seen. There are plenty of other charters with newer equipment if thats what you want. I wanted more of a local owned vibe on an older boat and that is what we got. We hopped on board and met J, the crewman, and Joel the Captain. We immediately headed out to start fishing. J rigged everything very quickly and got lines in the water in a matter of minutes. It took about 1 hour to get into a good spot where the fish were tearing up the top of the water and the birds were present which is always a good sign! We hooked into our first one and landed it quickly. We caught a couple more while trolling here so the start was great. The ocean continued to bring higher seas and the water got really choppy with 6-7 foot swells. We kept on fishing and got into another group of fish a while later. We caught 8 Bonito in total and my wife and I had a blast reeling them in! J was fun to talk to while Capt Joel kept his eyes on the water finding the fish! When we came back in, Capt Joel fileted a few fish for us so we could cook it at our Airbnb. He kept a couple and donated a few to a local who appeared to be in need. My wife and I were pleased to see him walknaway with our catch knowing it was helping someone in need :) I cooked it up the next morning and it tasted amazing! I woujd definitely recommend this charter as these guys know how to catch fish!

Had an absolute blast fishing on Thaisa II! The crew is fantastic—super knowledgeable, experienced, and a ton of fun to be out on the water with. They made sure everyone had a great time and kept us entertained the entire trip, we cought a bunch of mahi mahi, bonita and a king mackerel, If you're coming to Aruba and want to go fishing, book Thaisa II!

Hi Thank you for the review Regards

We had a great time out on the water. Caught a handful of mahi, black fin tuna, and bonito. Captain and First Mate had us on fish and kept everything moving smoothly. Would go out with them again. The water was a little rough at times, but anyone could do it. Got a quick confirmation and they were responsive to questions before the trip.

Hi Thanks for the review Regards

fishing was slow, laughs were high. the mate joe who was captain when we were here in 2021 remembered us,almost thought he was full of it but he was like yea your wife brought the barracuda in on a handline at the end sure enough he remembered. was happy to see him he works so hard switching things up,checking lines making your day great even with slow fishing. caught a bonita and a barracuda. the boat is fixed up compared to last time i was on it,definately favorite go to boat.
