This trip offers anglers access to fly fish the world-class smaller lakes around the Taupo area. Using a loch-style method, jigging or spin fishing, let Sarah show you NZ Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout fisheries at their finest.
Sarah has competed in the Ladies World Fly Fishing Championships **hidden content** and 2026, so is well placed to help you take your fly fishing to the next level.
The fishing methods can be adjused for your experience level, ensuring everyone has a chance at catching a fish, experienced or novice.
You'll find yourself aboard either a a 14' Quintrex Explorer 420 Trophy or a FC430 aluminum fishing boat that holds up to 2 passengers plus the Captain. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without, such as GPS and an electric motor. Your captain will provide rods and reels if you need it, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Sarah will call you closer to the time to discuss your fishing license requirements and the best venue to make your experience in New Zealand memorable.
Don't forget to bring sunblock and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. There will be food and some light snacks provided.
