Captain Dan Wood knows the Taupo waters like the back of his hand. He's fished all over the country and boasts experience like no other. He enjoys sharing stories and promises to use all his skills and knowledge to get you on the fish and to put a smile on your face.
Step aboard the luxurious 43' Pelin Eclipse. She is licensed for up to 23 guests, plus crew. If you'd like to include other activities or have your trip customised to suit a special occasion, just get in touch via FishingBooker before booking.
With your comfort in mind, the modern cabin is fitted with plenty of seating, a kitchen, toilet, and even a TV, WiFi, and an audio system to play from your devices. You'll be given tea and coffee throughout your trip. BYO alcohol and snacks will be placed into the onboard coolers, fridges, or freezers.
The boat's also a serious fishing vessel. Strong and sturdy, she'll take you to all the best fishing spots with ease. Troll with the downriggers, or try jig fishing to entice the bite of your target fish, and reel 'em in with top-of-the-line rods and reels.

Whomever organisers the bike event - use common sense for those who need to access boat Marina because there were event helpers who were not sure and a lot of finger pointing. even Dan and Ree had difficulty accessing the Marina! Enjoyable day for all 14 of us!

We were shown how to release the rigg into the water and explained how the system works. We caught enough to bring home and released a few. The captain took good care of us till we returned to the berth. The afternoon tea and dessert was superb.

What a wonderful day we had with you and lovely family. The sun was out, the wind gone, the fishing started off hard but your catch of 3 top conditioned Rainbow Trout. Hey, did you like our Sashimi? It was an excellent trip, Captain Dan was great, our visitors from the USA said it was the best trip they had done and the fish we caught were huge!
Yes Denise, a very busy trip. 7 lovely Rainbows caught and typical for Taupo were very good condition and size. 55 cm is a regular catch size. The team were quick to adopt our techniques which increases the success rate. It was just great for us to observe and enjoy the excitement with the group. Great group, great day. Than you Team. one of our most thoroughly enjoyed trips. The sun was shining, the lake flat calm and Crew and Guests in positive mind set. we were not going to be beaten! so plentiful was the catch we selected the best and replaced others for another day. You know Harun, for us catching trout is the easy part but choosing our customers is something that people like yourselves bring to our own lives. We look forward to meeting up again.
