If you're going to cast a line in Myrtle Beach, look no further than Blackwater Bass Fishing Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain David, giving you access to their knowledge and experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Largemouth Bass, Crappie, and anything else that bites. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
You'll be casting lines from an 18' Ranger aluminum Bass boat with space for 2 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. David has all the rods and reels for you to use, along with lures.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
Make sure you bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Water will be provided , If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.

Well, to begin, captain Dave was more than we hoped for. He is very personable, pleasant to be around. He listens to what his clients say which makes the trip even better. While his boat is not as modern or as big as others available, it fits perfectly for what he is offering. However, providing a small locker for clients items would open up a bit more floor space which would make it easier moving around the boat. While this didn't really impact our trip since we came aboard with very little gear. Overall we had an extremely productive day on the water, captain Dave is highly motivated and loves what he is doing and it shows in how successful our trip turned out to be. You can never really predict how a fishing trip will be, and as an angler knows, it's really up to the fish if you're successful. Captain Dave has the ability to make everything come together so his clients are successful.
It was an absolute pleasure fishing with you amd Jim! look forward to doing it again soon!
PB 4lb LM Bass!! It was a beautiful morning and had a great time. David is very knowledgeable about the river and didnt give up when the bite was slow. My favorite was the Gar, (besides the 4lb Bass! )that was a first. Took away a lot of knowledge and understanding from the trip, which is always the goal when fishing new bodies. I had a great time out on the Waccamaw River with Capt David. We caught bass on a variety of baits, and I look forward to taking some of the tricks I learned back to my home waters. Surprised my husband and 10yr old son as a gift for a father-son outing. Dave was fantastic, he was able to make sure everyone was having fun and catching fish. He was very knowledgeable about what the fish were biting that day, so it basically guaranteed catches. He was great with our son, and matched his energy. 100% plan on going again with Dave next time we come down!

David is the best!! my husband and son spent the day with him and my husband said he was amazing with our 14 yo son!! David knew the tide impact and also taught them where the bass were and how to skip to them. it was an art that takes David’s knowledge. They will definitely be back and with David!

Ive been fishing my whole life starting in the Northeast and more recently here in SC. on the Waccamaw River. While fishing the Waccamaw is very different then what I was use to, I learned very quickly how to fish the river and its tributaries. The bite is very much tide driven so start times will vary depending on tide. Ive also learned that at anytime you can hook into a big ol' bass so hold on and be ready!
