Sarasota Beach Shark Fishing is here to give you a personal experience on the wild waters of Nokomis.
Around here you can cast a line in nearshore waters, including a few honeyholes that only the locals can clue you in on.
Around here it's common to go heavy tackle fishing, and that's what you can expect on the day of your trip. Solomon will provide rods and reels.
These waters are known for Nurse Shark, Tiger Shark, Lemon Shark, Blacktip Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Bull Shark, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few!
Groups of up to 10 can join these excursions. You'll be fishing without a boat, so expect to make your way on foot at least part of the time and come dressed for current weather conditions.
Expect to get in touch with Solomon before the trip so you know where to meet and how to get there.
Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. You're encouraged to dress in layers and the proper footwear (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask). It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen, no matter the weather.
Solomon will have some snacks and drinks for you. Solomon welcomes anglers of all ages on these trips, including kids. Get in touch to find out if Solomon has child-sized life vests you can borrow, or bring your own.

No fish…but great times
6 Hour Trip – Sunset Shark Fishing on April 5, 2026 • 7 adults • 2 children
Our original captain wasn’t available for our last minute plans. The guys he sent were fun, knowledgeable, and patient. We had a great time with our large group. One by one, our numbers shrank as there weren’t any bites. My husband and I were the last two standing and Canyon and Alex even stayed past the set charter time defermined to get us on a shark. No luck this time, but we certainly hope to join them for another outing soon.

Solomon & crew were top notch! From the set up to the bait choices- it was clear careful thought was put into every decision & it paid off! An 8’ “Barrel” of a bull shark & a 9’+ Tiger Shark! This is a top notch charter with years of experience & comfortable enough we felt like we were fishing with buddies! I HIGHLY recommend this trip!

Great shark adventure!

We had a great time, caught several sharks, and all on an easy, convenient outing! Solomon was very knowledgeable about where to find sharks, and offered to come to us. When circumstances prevented him from guiding us, he seamlessly passed us to his good friend Owen who made it happen for us, nearly in our backyard! Both were very friendly, knowledgable and provided great service. My teen son and I had a great time.

We all had a great time. Heavy rain moved in and Solomon had a canopy with wind breaks on it. It was very nice to be out of the weather. We caught about a 350 lb bull shark. My boys and I will never forget this trip. Highly recommend!!!
