My name is Captain Andrew Crawford and I am Charleston born and raised and have been fishing my home waters for 20+ years now. I find joy in everything outdoors and really appreciate putting Redfish in front of others from the back of my skiff. If you book a trip with me, you will learn more about the low country from the bird and wildlife species that call the salt marsh their home all the way to the history of these waters. With me, you’ll get more than a fishing trip, but a knowledgeable captain who is here to build relationships and keep you coming back.
My specialties are focused on fly and light tackle fishing for redfish in shin deep water but there are also special trips and opportunities to cast at Sheepshead, Black Drum, Bonnethead Sharks, Jack Crevalle, and occasionally Tarpon. My primary vessel is an 18 foot East Cape Lostmen which is comfortable for 1 or 2 anglers but for larger parties, non-fly, harbor cruises, and eco-tours, I will arrange for us to be in a larger boat.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to ask any questions you may have about the area or to book a trip! You can reach me here. I look forward to pushing you!
Your captain will provide rods and reels but if you would like to bring your own just let me know so I can make space.
All charters are encouraged to catch & release but if trout fishing we may keep some for a fresh dinner. Clients may also keep any sharks teeth and fossils found. When booking a cast & blast clients may keep all marsh hens harvested and I can help or clean all birds.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen, an umbrella if you need to get out of the sun, and sunglasses. Drinks are included in the trip price (usually some waters and/or hydration drinks) and oftentimes I have some snacks available. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles please.
