Atlantic Pelagic Horizons 

Had such a great time out fishing with Ricardo and Justin today. Both really lovely, friendly, chatty guys — perfect English and clearly knew their stuff. Ricardo was the main guy with Justin helping out, and they were happy to answer all my questions about Madeira (and I had a lot!). There were drinks on board - water, coke, ice tea, beer! We caught red snapper and amber jack, which we have brought home to BBQ this evening — amazing. 3 hours flew by, scenery was gorgeous the whole time. Can't recommend Ricardo and Justin enough, would 100% book again!

Ricardo and his crew mate are superb with vast experience to put you on fish. We caught a wide veriety of fish including island grouper, snappa, trigger fish and more but the biggest surprise of all was a 120lbs giant tuna. This was totally unexpeted and some fight on the light tackle. What an experience! Ricardo is totally in tune with the sea and nature with a wealth of knowledge. It was a pleasure to spend the day with the guys as they clearly enjoy fishing every bit as us. Would highly recomend. Billy & Oliver

Booked a 3 hour tour and trolled around with no luck (very common). Started to bottom fish and caught snapper and some other smaller species. Moved around until we found larger trigger fish! Booked a 3 hour tour but really wish we were out there all day. The guides are amazing and very knowledgeable. Can’t recommend them enough!

I was with three friends who had never fished before, and Ricardo adapted to each of us. We also caught plenty of fish! Thank you again! This was definitely one of the best fishing trips I have ever experienced. As,soon,as we arrived we were greeted by Ricardo and Joao with joy and professionalism. The boat was ready and we left immediately spotting a very rare monk seal right at the exit of the Harbour. As we headed out they explained us alot about the island and its stories from the coastal view, they really know their island well. As soon as we started fishing we quickly all caught a barrucuda....followed throughout the morning of several other fish using different fishing techniques. I can't remember the names of the fishes but Ricardo knew them all. He is such an expert..and he was just as enthusiastic as we were with every catch. You can't go wrong with somone as passionate as Ricardo. I will definitely go on the same trip with Ricardo everyrime I go to Madeira..it was really the highlight of my vacation.

We had an absolutely fantastic fishing trip with Ricardo and his co-captain João. We were lucky with perfect weather, the ocean was as flat as a mirror, but what truly made the day exceptional was the crew. Ricardo and João are incredibly skilled at reading the water, navigating to the right spots, and positioning the boat perfectly for different techniques and target species. You immediately feel you’re in expert hands. We visited several locations and fished exclusively with lures. Since we usually fish with bait, it took us a little time to adjust to this more active style. But after the very first strike (even though we didn’t manage to hook that barracuda!), we were hooked ourselves. It’s such an engaging, hands-on, and genuinely fun way to fish, exciting from start to finish. After giving our shoulders quite the workout, we had a short break while trolling with two lures on the way to the next spot. That’s when we successfully hooked and reeled in a large barracuda, an unforgettable fight and an amazing reward. We later added two beautiful red snappers and a grouper through light jigging. Altogether, we caught the freshest fish imaginable, enough to prepare delicious lunches and dinners for the rest of the week of our holiday in Madeira (we even made great use of the public BBQ facilities, see photos!). Ricardo and João were warm, patient, and generous with their knowledge, answering all our questions along the way. Their experience and professionalism truly stand out, but they also make the whole experience relaxed and fun. We couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. Highly, highly recommend!

We had a great trip with Ricardo! Both Ricardo and Manuel were very friendly and competent, and they were very keen that we would have a good experience. We even stayed out longer than planned on the sea, and fished very actively to find good spots. We could tell these were experienced fishermen who really love what they do! Even though the conditions were not the best Ricardo found us good spots and made sure we had good catch. We caught both barracuda, dusky grouper and comber, all new species to us. We can definitely recommend going out with Ricardo!

Ricardo did an amazing job of making sure we had an amazing day. He great knowledge of the area and it showed. Saw whales, dolphin's, flying fish and the views from the ocean where amazing. We ended up catching 6 mahi's and 2 amberjacks. I would highly recommend fishing with Ricardo and his communication skills were amazing! Thank you so much for a wonderful day! Kyle

Deze trip is een aanrader voor iedereen, de schipper en de bemanning hebben zo passie voor wat ze doen en weten alles over de zee en het vissen. Ook doen ze er alles aan om je een mooie, grote vis te laten vangen. Ik zelf kom zeker nog een keer terug om weer met deze mannen te vissen!
