If fishing in Playa Flamingo is on your bucket list, look no further than Bad Boys I.
Top targets include Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Amberjack, African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, Skipjack Tuna, Rainbow Runner, Long-Tail Red Snapper (Onaga), Short-Tail Red Snapper (Ehu), Roosterfish, and more, depending on the time of year.
You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You're welcome to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll find yourself aboard a 26' Center console with room for 5 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Rods and reels are not included, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
