If you're looking for a professional guided fly fishing experience near Calgary, Trout Haven Fly (THF) delivers an exceptional adventure in Alberta's most scenic waters.

From breathtaking backcountry rivers to hidden spots known only by locals, every trip is designed to immerse you in true wilderness fly fishing.

At Trout Haven Fly (THF), guiding isn't just a service — it's a specialization. Fly fishing is at the core of every experience. You're welcome to bring your own gear or use premium equipment provided on-site. I recommend getting in touch before your trip to ensure you're fully prepared.

Depending on the season, you may encounter Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, Bull Trout, and Mountain Whitefish — all thriving in Alberta's pristine rivers.

All fish are catch and release, ensuring sustainable, world-class fisheries for generations to come.

Trips are designed for 1-2 anglers (small groups up to 4 anglers for one guide), offering a personalized and high-quality experience, in French or English. These are primarily walk-and-wade adventures, so be prepared to explore on foot and dress according to current conditions.

You will receive all necessary meeting details in advance, including exact meeting location and logistics, so you will need to contact me a few days before.

Fishing licenses are not included and must be purchased separately. Be sure to check local regulations and requirements before your trip.

Irecommend bringing:

Layered clothing suitable for changing weather
Proper footwear for river conditions
Sunglasses, sunscreen, and water

Light snacks are provided during your outing.

Trout Haven Fly (THF) welcomes anglers of all ages, including families. If needed, please confirm the availability of child-sized safety gear in advance or plan to bring your own.

Best fishing ever!
on September 6, 2025

Had such a great time with Alberta Fly Fishing Adventures! Leslie is an incredible guide who knows all the best spots for Cutthroat, Rainbow, and Brown Trout. The day was fun, relaxed, and perfect whether you're new to fly fishing or experienced. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a real Alberta fly fishing experience. Leslie also happens to be an excellent photographer and videographer, with his own drone! I ended up with some incredible footage and photos of my trip, made everyone back home jealous. Just that made it all worth it!
