Spend the day with Hooked on Panama and see what's biting in Limones!
Amberjack, Blue Marlin, Almaco Jack, Black Marlin, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Striped Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Cubera Snapper, Bluefin Trevally, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and more can be found in these waters, depending on conditions.
For these species, you're likely to troll using light or heavy tackle. Capt. M also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Trips with Hooked on Panama are fun for all ages, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be casting lines from a 30' Sportfishing with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Hooked on Panama!
