Book your next trip with Hook'em Charters and find out what keeps anglers coming back to Gulf Shores for more.

Around here it's common to catch Cobia, Bluefish, Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Bull Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Gray Triggerfish, and more if you come at the right time of year. During the trip you might be spinning, popping, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks to keep 'em happy!

Capt. John will bring you aboard a 24' Kenner center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. John will provide rods and reels for you. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

3 Hour Trip - 9:00 AM on March 19, 20263 adults

Great fishing trip all the way around. Superb communication from beginning to end. Captain David is a fantastic, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and personable guide and avid fisherman himself. He put us on so many fish we started releasing them after and hr or so into the trip. I’d truly recommend Hookem and David and if I’m in the area again sometime.

Reported catch:
Sheepshead

Captain John has been fishing with his dad and grandparents since he was probably old enough to hold a fishing pole. He has fished in Key West, Savannah, Georgia, and the Gulf of Mexico, all the way to California, and even Hawaii. The captain enjoys fishing and loves watching people catch fish. He hopes to see you on the water soon. He and his six other captains will make sure you have fun while fishing.
