Reel Deal Charters – Deep Water offers fun and productive fishing trips in the waters surrounding Panama City, Florida. These trips are perfect for anglers of all experience levels, whether you're a seasoned fisherman or just looking to spend a great day on the water with family and friends.
The crew is a father-and-son team with over 100 years of combined experience fishing these waters. Captain Sigurd has more than 55 years of experience running boats in the Panama City area, while his son Deral has been working on fishing boats for over 45 years. Their lifetime of local knowledge helps put anglers on fish while making sure everyone has a great time on the water.
Deep Water is a state-licensed vessel that fishes within Florida state waters (generally within 9 miles of shore). Depending on the season and conditions, you may target species such as Red Snapper (in season), Vermilion Snapper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, and King Mackerel.
Spring often brings great Spanish Mackerel fishing, while warmer months are ideal for trolling King Mackerel and bottom fishing for snapper and grouper on productive reefs and structure.
You'll be fishing aboard a 35' Bertram sportfishing boat that accommodates up to 6 passengers. Built by one of the most respected boat manufacturers in the industry, this classic vessel has been restored and equipped with modern electronics to help put you on the fish. Twin Cummins engines get you to the fishing grounds quickly and safely.
All rods, reels, and tackle are included. Just bring your food, drinks, sunscreen (non-spray), and a cooler for your catch. Anglers of all ages are welcome, and families especially enjoy these trips.

Great Day on the Water!

We had a fantastic time on our trip! The fishing was a little slow overall (even other boats on the radio were saying the same), but Captain Chris and Darel worked hard the whole day—trying different spots, trolling lures, and using live bait around structure and the weather buoy.
We ended up with 18–20 beeliners, 10–12 good-sized red grouper (15–16”), a Spanish mackerel, and I caught the second biggest triggerfish of my life! I also hooked into a big fish that spit the bait—one of those classic moments that keeps you coming back.
The weather was perfect, and the stories and company made the day even better. Captain Chris and Darel were both top-notch—couldn’t ask for a better guide and deckhand. Highly recommend!

10 hour deep sea/offshore trip

We went on a 10 hr trip with the Short Fuse crew. They took us out farther on the 10 hr trip in order to get on better sized fish and it did not disappoint! Ended up hooking up to 6-8 bullsharks which was an experience none of us ever had before. We also brought in a good limit of red snapper along with various other species in season. Would highly recommend the longer trip with this crew as they did everything amd more than expected!

Truly the best charter for any family!
