Reel Deal Charters is your chance for catching a notorious Florida Red Snapper in state waters (in season). The crew offers a wide range of trips, giving you the chance to try everything from cruising around St Andrew Bay as the sun sets, to fishing for Red Snapper on the long trips.
2025 State Red Snapper Season opens Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26, then runs from Jun 1 to July 31, then reopens from Sept 1-14, then on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in Sept, Oct., Nov, and until December 28, including Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas!
Fishing out of Panama City, Florida, the crew offers rod-bending fishing trips. They enjoy taking anglers of all ages and experience levels aboard their boat for unforgettable days of fishing.
Book a trip aboard their 35’ Bertram saltwater fishing boat, accommodating up to 6 passengers. Note that the split trips are not guaranteed to fill, so be sure to include your flexible dates to best be accommodated.
The boat was built by one of the world’s most renowned manufacturers of fishing vessels. It has been fully restored with up-to-date equipment and modern comforts to make sure your day on the water is truly special. Powered by twin Cummins engines, the boat will take you to the fishing grounds in no time, and its fish-finding electronics will ensure you are fishing the best spots.
In the spring the fishing is great for Spanish Mackerel and as the weather warms up trolling for King Mackerel and bottom fishing for Red Snapper, Grouper, Vermillion Snapper, and White Snapper.

10 hour deep sea/offshore trip

We went on a 10 hr trip with the Short Fuse crew. They took us out farther on the 10 hr trip in order to get on better sized fish and it did not disappoint! Ended up hooking up to 6-8 bullsharks which was an experience none of us ever had before. We also brought in a good limit of red snapper along with various other species in season. Would highly recommend the longer trip with this crew as they did everything amd more than expected!

Great Day on the Water!

We had a fantastic time on our trip! The fishing was a little slow overall (even other boats on the radio were saying the same), but Captain Chris and Darel worked hard the whole day—trying different spots, trolling lures, and using live bait around structure and the weather buoy.
We ended up with 18–20 beeliners, 10–12 good-sized red grouper (15–16”), a Spanish mackerel, and I caught the second biggest triggerfish of my life! I also hooked into a big fish that spit the bait—one of those classic moments that keeps you coming back.
The weather was perfect, and the stories and company made the day even better. Captain Chris and Darel were both top-notch—couldn’t ask for a better guide and deckhand. Highly recommend!
