Reel Deal Fishing Charters – Deep Water offers fun and productive fishing trips in the waters surrounding Panama City, Florida. Whether you're an experienced angler or simply looking to enjoy a great day on the water with family and friends, our trips are designed for all skill levels.
Captain Sigurd and his son Deral bring a lifetime of local fishing experience to every trip. Their knowledge of the area's waters and seasonal patterns helps put anglers on fish while ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.
Deep Water is a 35' Bertram sportfishing vessel that comfortably accommodates up to six passengers. Equipped with modern electronics, twin Cummins diesel engines, an air-conditioned cabin, and onboard restroom, she provides a comfortable and reliable platform for fishing Florida's Gulf waters.
Deep Water is a Florida state-licensed vessel fishing within state waters, generally up to 9 miles offshore.
Depending on the season and conditions, anglers may target Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, and more.
Families, beginners, and experienced anglers are all welcome aboard.

Fishing opportunities change throughout the year. Spring often brings excellent Spanish Mackerel action, while warmer months offer opportunities for King Mackerel, Red Snapper, Grouper, and other reef fish. Florida's 2026 Gulf state-water Red Snapper season runs May 22–July 31 and September 1–October 4, with additional fall and holiday weekends available.

We had a great morning on the water with Captain and Crew. We were set to go a different day but they contacted me cincerning the weather and I am glad they cared enough about our experience to do that. I had concerns about taking the whole family but this hard working outfit made sure my kids stayed on fish and were very patient and super to work with. I had gone out with this group several years ago when the children were to small and they were fantastic then as well. Great day on the water and this Great Captain and Crew made it that much better!

Captain was extremely knowledgeable, put us on the fish, and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. His first mate was also fantastic—very helpful, attentive, and always ready to assist with getting fish on board and keeping everyone engaged. We caught plenty of fish, learned a lot, and created memories that will last a lifetime. The crew worked hard to make sure everyone had a successful and enjoyable trip. We had Bubba and Jake as our crew members, Bubba made sure we were on the fish and Jake done a great job making sure we were catching them! This was our family’s first time booking a charter and we are already looking forward to the next one! Could not have asked for a better experience.
We had a good time and caught fish. It is an older boat that runs slower, about 12 mph. Staff were friendly. The deck hand was 15 years old, Jake, and he hustled the entire trip. He took care of being sure we were always baited and lines in the water. He prioritized baiting a hook over getting fish off the line. It was very efficient and unique how driven he was the entire trip. We were very happy.
We had a fantastic time on our trip! The fishing was a little slow overall (even other boats on the radio were saying the same), but Captain Chris and Darel worked hard the whole day—trying different spots, trolling lures, and using live bait around structure and the weather buoy. We ended up with 18–20 beeliners, 10–12 good-sized red grouper (15–16”), a Spanish mackerel, and I caught the second biggest triggerfish of my life! I also hooked into a big fish that spit the bait—one of those classic moments that keeps you coming back. The weather was perfect, and the stories and company made the day even better. Captain Chris and Darel were both top-notch—couldn’t ask for a better guide and deckhand. Highly recommend! —Tracy F.
