Nautical Remedy, LLC – Saltwater Charters
Captain Gary at Nautical Remedy is here to help you experience the beautiful Southern Maine Coast.
On our saltwater charters, we target Striped Bass, Bluefish, Atlantic Mackerel, Harbor Pollock and occasionally run into other species like sea run Brown Trout.
On these trips, you can expect tackle to match that of your goals and target species. Captain Gary can tailor your experience and offers fly fishing, fishing with conventional gear and live bait.
For charter trips you will step aboard our 22' Robalo center console fitted with the latest electronics and trolling motor technology to comfortably fish two anglers (and seat up to 3 total).
All tackle is provided. Live bait is client-caught on Striped Bass charters. Mackerel, Pollock and occasional groundfish are caught on the family mackerel and pollock trips.
Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Make sure to bring sunglasses, sunblock, hat and appropriate attire for the season and weather (layers and rain/wind gear-even in summer as Maine weather can change often and drastically). Long sleeve tech-style fishing shirts with hoodies and buffs are recommended for hot weather. Bottled water and/or coffee can be provided on trips, more than 2 hours. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. No marijuana products on charters (Captain must observe federal law on his boat).

Born and raised in Portland, ME, I grew up fishing the ocean, marshes, rivers and lakes throughout the state. Spending my childhood through my early 20's as a traditional bass fisherman, my obsession expanded to striped bass on the fly nearly two decades ago and targeting everything from trout to sharks on the fly followed suit. Fly fishing has led me to many beautiful destinations, targeting diverse species from steelhead to tarpon, and has helped me discover a deep appreciation for what Maine has to offer us as anglers. I have since continued to hone and expand my skill set in other gear as opportunities present and I enjoy all forms of angling that our fisheries demand. Leaving a long career in Biotech, I now enjoy a much richer career in helping others enjoy the diverse fishing opportunities Maine has to offer. I look forward to serving you on your next fishing adventure!
