If you're here to make the most of fishing in West End, look no further than Roatan Ocean Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Kelsey can tell you all about the local fishery.

Fishing around here will often see you targeting Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Great Barracuda, Yellowtail Snapper, Caribbean Queen Snapper, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. During the trip you might be fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks!

Your trip begins aboard a 32' Grady-White cuddy cabin with room for 8 passengers. It has a fighting chair, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait when caught.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

All non-billfish will be kept. You can keep them and take them home with you. Most resorts and many restaurants are happy to cook up your catch for you. Ask the Captain for which restaurants he recommends.

It's always wise to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.

And that's it! Your fishing trip with Roatan Ocean Charters is just a click away.

I was born and raised on Roatan and have been fishing her waters for over 40 years. There is no greater joy than sharing this place and the bounty of the sea with those that share my love for it. The reaction of a client when they catch their first wahoo or marlin or even small tuna is among my favorite things.
