Our primary target is Chinook salmon year round with the addition of Coho salmon during peak fishing months (June to the end of September). In addition to these salmon species, we may target bottomfish such as lingcod and pacific cod depending on the length of your charter and when these species are open to catch.

We almost always troll for salmon, however, we usually jig for bottomfish. 

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! But, please bring a lifejacket for your child to ensure their safety!

We'll be trolling lines from a 30' Pursuit 2870 Walkaround with capacity for 5 passengers and a toilet on board for your convenience. This vessel was purposely picked for fishing the inside of Vancouver Island. It is spacious, safe, and handles waters with confidence. It is equipped with brand new twin Yamaha 200 outboards, a 9.9 kicker for trolling, and modern electronics to put our guests on the fish.

Your captain will provide top of the line rods and reels, as well as lures to ensure the best chance at success.

If you don't already have one, each guest must obtain a tidal angling licenses equipped with a salmon conservation stamp. This can be purchased online or in person at Gone Fishin' in Courtenay.

Temperatures vary depending on the time of year so it is recommended to bring appropriate clothing. In the warmer months, don't forget to bring sunblock (please wash your hands before touching fishing gear after application), sunglasses, bottled water, and snacks/meals. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. I also recommend to bring seasickness medication just in case, and any other medications for health conditions.
