Make an adventure out of your next trip in Mossel Bay and go fishing with Hopley's Fishing Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Rodney , which means you'll tap into their sportfishing experience.
These waters are known for Skipjack, Leerfish (Garrick), Geelbek (Cape Salmon), Bluefish, Gurnard, Kob, Musselcracker, Gummy Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Thresher Shark, Skipjack Tuna, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream.
On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 28' Butt Cat with space for 10 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Hopley's Fishing Charters is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
