Spend the day with Zookeeper charters and see what's biting! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Richard knows them forwards and back.
These waters are known for Black Drum, Sheepshead, Spotted Seatrout, Goliath Grouper, Redfish, Snook, Lane Snapper, Blacktip Shark, Tarpon, Tripletail, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Mangrove Snapper, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time.
During the trip you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Richard also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea!
Your adventure begins aboard a 26' Bay boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Capt. Richard will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Zookeeper charters and get hooked!
