Big Fin Charters II
If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Fernandina Beach, we've got you covered with Big Fin Charters. With Captain Michael at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Redfish, Tarpon, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Whiting, Black Drum, Blacktip Shark, Cobia, and anything else that bites. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks!
Your boat for the day is a 25' Parker cuddy cabin that can carry up to 5 passengers. It comes with downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Michael has rods and reels for you.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Big Fin Charters.

What an amazing experience we had with Captain Ty! He was awesome and helped each of us with catching all kinds of fish (redfish, tarpon, Spanish mackerel, catfish, bluefish, and shark). He had a lot of patience and understanding. Captain Ty was also personable, which made you feel very comfortable with him. It definitely was a great experience and we would recommend him to anyone looking for a day out on a charter boat. Thanks a bunch, Captain Ty, for giving us our best experience thus far as a family!

Thank you guys!!
We had an incredible time with Big Fin Charters II! Captain Ty made this so much more than just a fishing trip.. it was a true experience from start to finish. His patience, expertise, and knowledge of the water were outstanding, and he took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable, having fun, and enjoying the day. What really made the trip special was how personable he was. We never felt like we were just another charter; he genuinely interacted with us, answered our questions, shared stories, and made us feel like we were spending the day with a friend. If you're looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure, we can't recommend Big Fin Charters II and Captain Ty enough. We had an amazing time, made wonderful memories, and are already looking forward to booking another trip with him in the future!

Thank you guys very much!!
Ty was an amazing captain! We had so much fun and caught some really cool things! We caught a Spinner Shark, Black nose shark, Black Tip Shark, Spanish Mackerel, Redfish and a “Mother in laws fish” (toad fish) as ty called it! we will be back in march/ april and will DEFINITELY be booking with them again!!! best fishing charter we’ve ever been on!

Thank you guys!!
Had an outstanding day on the water with Captain Ty. He put us right on the fish—we limited out on redfish and even landed a really nice drum. Beyond the great catch, the entire experience was relaxed, fun, and well-run. Ty clearly knows these waters and works hard to make sure everyone has a great time. Highly recommend booking a trip with him if you’re looking for both results and an enjoyable day out.

thank you guys!

Had a great trip this morning with Ty. He was great with the kids and knows his stuff. My twin 8yr old girls had so much fun. Unfortunately my wife took bananas on the boat so until we got them off we only got toadfish. lol. She learned a valuable lession. After that we were rocking. The kids wanted sharks and Ty got us about 10 bonnets. Really fun trip and a great morning. Highly Recommend!!!

Thank you guys!
