The focus is always on Striped Bass, but Atlantic Mackerel and Pollock are often part of the equation, with hard-fighting Bluefish a seasonal possibility. You're sure to enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife of Casco Bay, too. Seals, porpoises, eagles and ospreys are routinely sighted.
You'll be dropping lines from a beautiful, new 21' Maritime Center console with ample space for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials for a productive and safe day on the water, including top-notch modern electronics from Garmin. This vessel provides a safe, smooth and comfortable ride.
You will be in control of top-quality spinning gear, offering fresh live bait and/or the right lures to active fish. Making bait (usually Mackerel) is part of the fun… and Striped Bass love to eat mackerel!
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children 12 and under must wear life vests; please make sure Captain Steve knows the kids' ages and sizes beforehand.
All gear, bait and licensing is supplied by Prime Tide. Cold water is always available on-board.
Please remember your sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), hat. soft-soled shoes and extra layer to stay warm and dry, and you're welcome to bring your own food/snacks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid glass bottles. For safety reasons, no smoking is allowed on-board.
All applicable state and federal boating/fishing regulations are strictly adhered to. Captain Steve makes all safety/weather determinations.

I am so glad I chose Prime Tide Striper Guide over other providers with high reviews. Steve started his new business so the review wasn't that high but that only tells me he will do his best to his client. Most providers are in Saco where I have to drive 45 min from Freeport (where I stay). Prime Tide is at Falmouth which is only 15 min drive from Freeport. That makes a big difference. The bottom line, Steve is a great guy. I am so happy to have him. My son said this fishing tour is the best among our 4-day trip in the Freeport-Portland area. I will go find him again next time.
