Make some unforgettable memories in Playa Flamingo and hit the water with Pura Vida Snorkeling. With countless hours spent fishing these waters, Captain Frank knows the local tides and fishing grounds inside and out.

Depending on the conditions, you may target African Pompano, Horse-eye Jack, Amberjack, Pacific Crevalle Jack, Jack Crevalle, Black Skipjack Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Broomtail Grouper, Sailfish, Cubera Snapper, and more.

Your fishing day could include spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or other techniques suited to the area and conditions.

Pura Vida Snorkeling is a family-friendly charter, so bring the whole crew and enjoy a day on the water. Children must wear life jackets, so check with the crew to make sure the appropriate size is available on board. You’re also welcome to bring your favorite snacks.

Your trip takes place aboard a 29' Panga that can accommodate up to 8 passengers. The boat is equipped with outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day of fishing.

Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided. Live bait is also available, although you should check with the crew in advance to see whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be on board to assist throughout the trip and help keep you on the fish. A 10–20% tip is customary for their hard work.

No fishing license is required, so you can simply arrive and get ready to fish. Keep in mind that some species may be subject to harvest limits or closed seasons, and your captain can provide more information.

Be sure to bring non-spray sunscreen, sunglasses, and bottled water. Drinks and lunch are included, and alcohol is permitted in moderation. Please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Light snacks are also provided on board.

I’ve been sport fishing my whole life, mostly from other boats, but five years ago I decided to strike out on my own and bought my first vessel. Since then, I’ve continued building my experience, from fishing inshore for bait and targeting Roosterfish, Jacks, and Cubera Snapper to heading offshore, where we primarily use trolling techniques to target different species depending on the season and what my clients are looking for. These include Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and Sailfish.
