Ready to go fishing in Playa Flamingo? La Mojada Charters is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Sean is prepared to put you on fish.
Top targets include Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, Broomtail Grouper, Snowy Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Almaco Jack, Pompano, Rainbow Runner, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Cubera Snapper, Snook, and more with any luck.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
If you're traveling with the family, youwill be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
You'll be dropping lines from a 30' Center console with room for 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

I can't say enough about La Mojada Charters! The boat is perfectly equipped for both inshore and offshore fishing, giving us the best of both worlds. We were fortunate enough to land an incredible giant sailfish, some beautiful Mexican snapper, and offshore we absolutely slayed the yellowfin tuna. Captain Sean worked hard to keep us on the fish and made the entire experience unforgettable. If you're looking for an exciting day on the water with a crew that knows how to put you on quality fish, this is the charter to book. We're already looking forward to fishing with Sean again. Highly recommended!

We booked a full day inshore trip with Captain Sean. The boat was clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for the day. We were taken to several locations and had successful catches including the Rooster fish we were hoping for. The crew was knowledgeable about prime fishing spots, and worked efficiently to ensure we had the best experience. Between catches we were delighted to see other marine life such as dolphins and turtles. We also greatly enjoyed the fun facts and education about the marine life and locations we visited. The drinks were cold and refreshing and the snacks had a heartwarming homemade touch. As a female fisher it was also comforting to know there was a private on boat washroom to use as needed. If you're looking for a charter that genuinely cares about your experience then this is the one. We were delighted with our experience and look forward to returning.

We did 4 days of fishing while on vacation all with Sean on La Mojada, 3 days of inshore and a full day of offshore. The boat was beautiful and well equipped also the wife loved the onboard bathroom. Sean was fun and knowledgeable making the experience fun from start to finish. Ended up catching a large rooster fish and plenty of smaller species along the way on our inshore days. Caught 3 large sailfish on our offshore day 2 for myself and the wife got one. Highly recommend La Mojada for your fishing needs in playa flamingo area
