Depending on the season and conditions, you may target a variety of species, including Amberjack, Dolphin, Wahoo, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Marlin, and many more. Trips typically involve a combination of trolling and bottom fishing using either light or heavy tackle, depending on the day's target species.
Families are always welcome, and kids are encouraged to join the adventure! Children must wear a properly fitted life jacket, so please check with the captain to ensure the correct size is available. Bringing snacks is recommended to keep everyone happy and energized throughout the trip.
You'll be fishing aboard a comfortable 26-foot Sea Hunt center console with room for up to 4 adult guests. The boat is equipped with a marine toilet for your convenience.
Your trip includes quality rods, reels, tackle, and artificial lures. Live bait is also included whenever available. To maximize your fishing time and provide the best possible experience, bait may be purchased from a local bait boat when necessary.
A professional first mate will be onboard to assist throughout your trip and ensure everything runs smoothly. While not required, gratuities of 10–20% are customary and greatly appreciated for exceptional service.
Your Florida saltwater fishing license is included with the charter, so all you have to do is arrive and enjoy the day. Keep in mind that certain species are subject to seasonal regulations and harvest limits.
For the most comfortable experience, we recommend bringing Sunscreen (non-spray) and Polarized sunglasses.

Captain Jon was very accommodating our original booking was canceled the evening before the morning trip and Captain Jon went above and beyond to make the fishing trip happen. I had my 7 year old grandson with me and Captain Jon and Ray were very good with him making sure he caught fish. He stayed longer to ensure we caught fish, 11 Vermillion snappers. Last minute cancelation from another charter gave us a blessing in disguise with Captain Jon and Ray excellent customer service, hardworking and family friendly. We will definitely be back again in November to do it again with Captain Jon and Ray.

Captain Jon and his crew were awesome! Took my 9 yr old out on a fishing charter and he and I both had a blast. We left the dock and went to catch some bait fish just past Crab Island where he helped my little guy catch about 20 fish! I know little to nothing about fishing so it was great to have someone like Jon, who is a seasoned fisherman, help teach me and my kiddo how it’s done. We only had to bring some light snacks and he and his team took care of the rest. We felt totally safe on his amazing boat as he provided the necessary life vests. The trek out into open waters was very exciting where we nearly reeled in a Blue Wahoo! Nothing like fishing on the Emerald Coast, so highly recommend Big Fish Energy! You’ll make memories for sure!!

Booked a longer shared charter with Captain Jon for my son and I, accompanied by 2 adults and another child. Captain Jon was patient and understanding with the boys during the more exciting parts of the trip and hooked fish. We launched at Okaloosa, cruised past Crab Island, and stopped just shy of the inlet to catch bait. The bait fish were swarming, and the kids were pulling up fully loaded bait rigs every drop! We didn't have quite as much luck with the remainder of the trip, a few remoras and other fun fish to catch but lost a big one trolling (not sure what it was). I would absolutely book again. Jon is a competent captain with very reasonable pricing and the kids loved him. (Ask about the military discounts).

We had an amazing time on this fishing charter! The captain Jon and Ray crew were friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone in our group had a great experience. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and we caught plenty of fish. It was fun from start to finish, and we would definitely book with them again. Highly recommend!

Captain Johnathon worked hard to put us on fish. He had a nice boat and good fishing gear. We caught mingos, trigger fish amberjack and I even caught a nice red grouper. He is a great guy and an experienced captain.
