The Soggy Bottom is a locally owned and operated Destin fishing charter. Specializing in customizable bay, gulf and inshore fishing excursions, all these charters take place on the waterways of the captain’s hometown. You’ll be fishing aboard a 22ft. 2004 Cape Horn powered by a single 225HP Yamaha engine, available for up to 5 passengers per charter. The boat is equipped with the standard in marine and navigational electronics, including a Garmin GPS, fishfinder as well as a VHF radio. It is located at the East Pass Marina on the Destin Harbor, in between The Boathouse and Brotula’s restaurants.
Many refer to Destin as the world’s luckiest fishing village, and the captains at Destin’s Ultimate Guide Service are committed to show you why. You’ll be fishing for some of the Emerald Coast’s and Florida’s favorite game fish, including Redfish, Speckled Sea Trout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Flounder, Kingfish, Amberjack, Cobia, Red Snapper, Grouper, Triggergish and many other species, depending on the season. And since they are confident in their ability to put you on fish, Soggy Bottom also offers a Catch Fish Guarantee or you get an extra hour added to your trip for free.
The Captain will give you a call a few days ahead of your trip to discuss where the bite is best, and what the weather forecast looks like for the day you’ve reserved. Capt. Adam utilizes a variety of bait depending on the season, and the species you’d like to target, including Croakers, Cigar Minnows, Pilchards, Herrings, Hardtails and more. The tackle on board consists of Shimano and Quantum rods and reels, as well as appropriate spinning rods for bottom fishing.
The trip price includes everything you need for the day including your fish being cleaned at the end of the trip along with ice to keep them cold on the way home. All you are responsible for is your drinks, snacks, and sunscreen.
