Get ready to experience the exciting fishing waters of Playa del Coco. Captain Fabian knows the local waters and fishing grounds well, giving you the chance to enjoy a productive day on the water.

There's no guarantee when you're fishing, but some of the species you can catch around here include Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Pacific Crevalle Jack, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Sierra Mackerel, Snapper, Albacore Tuna, and more, with any luck.

During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Fish caught during the trip are yours to keep, so long as they're within the legal limit. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home and throw it right into the pan. Your next meal doesn't get any fresher than that!

You'll be welcome aboard a 22' center console with room for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.

Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

Amazing Fishing Experience
4 Hour – Half Day Fishing Tour on August 30, 20261 adult

I had the pleasure to go on a half day fishing trip with Fabian and can’t wait to go again, first of all, easy to communicate with, reasonable priced, very acommodating, I asked for an earlier start which he agreed and showed up right on time, he came and picked me up at the resort I was staying at and around 30 minutes into our trip I was reeling in a monster 50+ pounds rooster fish, we then moved offshore and caugut 3 huges Mahi Mahi, wheather did not cooperate much as the water got a little rough due to high winds but Fabian did an excellemt job keeping us comfortable and making me feel safe the whole time. If you’re planning a fishing trip in Playa del Coco and the surrounding area, Fabian is your man, you won’t be dissapointed.

Reported catch:
Dolphin (Mahi Mahi)
Roosterfish
