Spend the day with Pacific Rover and get hooked on fishing in the PNW! Having logged many hours on these waters, Captain Kyle is prepared to put you on fish.

These waters are known for Cutthroat Trout, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some.

Fishing on these trips is limited to catch and release, unless specified prior.

Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, if on raft.

Your excursion begins aboard a 12' flyfishing raft with space for 2 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Fly rods and reels are supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own.

Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.

How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with Pacific Rover.

Fly Fishing with Captain Kyle
Coastal Cutthroat Walk & Wade 1/2 on July 23, 2026

We had a great fishing experience with Captain Kyle! During our vacation, my son (18 YO) asked if we could go fly fishing. Not knowing where to go, I hit the internet and found Kyle. From my initial engagement with Kyle, he was responsive and easy to work with. The great experience continued through our fishing trip. Kyle provided guidance and information about techniques and approach throughout our session, encouraging me (total newbie) and my son through the session. I appreciated Kyle’s ability to navigate both skill levels and work differently based on our experience. When I told my son I wanted to write a review, and asked what he felt I should include, he simply said “all of it and make sure it’s good”. Not sure I can capture all of it in this space, but it was a very positive experience for both of us. Thank you, Kyle!

Full day walk and wade fishing for sea run cutthroat
Coastal Cutthroat Walk & Wade on June 13, 2026

I live in the South Puget Sound region and was interested in targeting sea run cutthroat in what is essentially my backyard. I received Kyle's contact information from one of my friends who is an avid fly fisherman himself. He told me that Kyle is "The Guy" for SCT's in this area so I was eager to learn from him. Kyle was quick to respond to my correspondence and was flexible in terms of scheduling a time to fish. I reserved a full day of walk and wade fishing. He took me to a couple of different spots and gave me some very valuable insight on how to read the water. He also shared great information on the best tidal conditions to fish. He had a fantastic selection of flies that he shared with me. I brought my rod/reel because I wanted to spend some time using my own gear, but he also was equipped with a variety of set ups for me to test and I can tell you that he is completely "plug/play" if you just want to show for a day of fishing. I am admittedly a novice to fly fishing and if you fall in that same category, I hope that doesn't discourage you from booking a trip. Kyle is super encouraging and patient. He really helped me tighten up my casting technique and correct some bad casting habits (in a nice way). He even introduced to some basic spey technique which was fun. In addition to being a good instructor, Kyle is just a cool dude and it was fun to shoot the bull with him while we fished. After our trip was over, he followed up with some text messages of good places to fish in the area and some gear (including flies) that he recommends. I would highly recommend him and will definitely book a trip in the future.

Absolutely amazing trip!!
Lowland Lake flyfishing 1/2 Day - 12:00 PM on June 11, 20262 adults

Kyle, the owner of Pacific Rover LLC, was phenomenal; he went above and beyond in every facet possible! This was the first time I got to fly fish with my dad and Kyle made it truly special. Exceptional communication, top quality raft with comfy chairs, superb gear, complimentary water, snacks/fruit, and most importantly Kyle worked tirelessly to get us on fish (multiple rainbow and cutthroat trout each). I have several trips back to Washington scheduled throughout the remainder of this year and plan on booking with Kyle (Pacific Rover) every time. I highly recommend Kyle, you will not be disappointed!!

Above and beyond!
Lowland Lake flyfishing 1/2 Day on May 24, 20262 adults

First time using this site wasn't sure what to expect but boy did Kyle check every box twice over! From great communication from day 1 to calling the day before asking what snacks/drinks we would want while out! Told him I just wanted him to get the wife on some fish and Kyle never stopped trying! Unfortunately she didn't reel in the one she hooked but I got a couple in the net plus a handful that I missed. All around a perfect day, great views, and a very friendly and funny captain. Worth every penny

Great trip!
Lowland Lake flyfishing 1/2 Day on June 23, 20262 adults

I took my 11-year-old grandsons. They had never fished before. Kyle picked out a lake where he was sure the fish would cooperate. He taught them to spin cast, which they conquered. And they caught small bass, blue gills and even hooked a trout, which escaped. He made the trip fun for these kids and me.
