Spend the day with Pacific Rover and get hooked on fishing in the PNW! Having logged many hours on these waters, Captain Kyle is prepared to put you on fish.
These waters are known for Cutthroat Trout, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some.
Fishing on these trips is limited to catch and release, unless specified prior.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, if on raft.
Your excursion begins aboard a 12' flyfishing raft with space for 2 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Fly rods and reels are supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own.
Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.

Above and beyond!
Lowland Lake flyfishing 1/2 Day on May 24, 2026 • 2 adults
First time using this site wasn't sure what to expect but boy did Kyle check every box twice over! From great communication from day 1 to calling the day before asking what snacks/drinks we would want while out! Told him I just wanted him to get the wife on some fish and Kyle never stopped trying! Unfortunately she didn't reel in the one she hooked but I got a couple in the net plus a handful that I missed. All around a perfect day, great views, and a very friendly and funny captain. Worth every penny

Fly fishing for salmon

Kyle knows all things fishing. Our day on the river fly fishing for salmon was amazing! While you don't have to catch fish to have a fun day, it helps when you hook up about 20 fish, and land about half of those. My buddy and I have been fly fishing for a few decades, and our trip with Kyle ranks as one of the best days we've ever had.

Gorgeous wild trout, unforgettable alpine lake, gracious guide
Alpine Lake Flyfishing on August 3, 2024
Kyle is not only a skilled fly fisherman and guide, but also a genuinely great person to spend time with. I joined him on an alpine lake trip in July and I still find myself dreaming of the gorgeous views. We spotted pika along the way and caught some of the most brilliantly colored westslope cutthroat I've encountered.
As someone who isn’t an avid hiker, I felt completely at ease under Kyle’s guidance—the pace was comfortable, and he made sure I never carried more than I could handle. Through our conversations, I also learned about his dedication to nonprofit work, especially his efforts to expand access to fly fishing for underrepresented groups, including women and kids in the foster system.
I can’t recommend Kyle’s trips highly enough—you won’t regret the experience!
