Took my 6-year-old out for his very first fishing trip with Captain Chris and it was perfect. In just 4 hours we caught salmon after salmon, and Chris was fantastic with him the whole time — patient, encouraging, and made sure he got to reel in the big ones himself. Chris really knows these waters and put us right on the fish, explaining everything along the way and keeping my son engaged the whole trip. We came home with a cooler full of salmon and a kid who now wants to be a fisherman when he grows up. Highly recommend, especially if you’re bringing kids. We’ll definitely be back to fish with Captain Chris again!
Quinn and I had the best day ever fishing with Chris! We limited out in the first two hours and the bites never stopped. Chris knew all the best spots, constantly checked the lines, and coached us through every catch. Great music, funny stories, and an awesome atmosphere made the day even better. His 20 years of living in Tofino really showed! He even took amazing pictures of us with our fish. Couldn’t recommend Chris enough!
This is our first time in Tofino and our first guided fishing trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. The sun was hot, fish were biting. Our Captain, Chris was awesome!! He definitely knew where the fish were! Chris made the day fun, good tunes, and was quick to get the lines back in the water. I would recommend taking a trip with him.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Chris in July 2026, he's a great educator and takes the time to explain how, what and why he's doing certain things, to help you become a better fisherman. He's also safety first, requiring all on board, to include himself, to wear PFDs. Even in July the weather can get a bit chilly and rainy, so come prepared with the right gear. Highly recommend him as a charter captain, he's a interesting person and just a great human!

Thanks Shaza! It was a pleasure meeting you :)

Chris was excellent! He made sure we were always comfortable. He took us to some great spots and definitely knew his way around the water. We caught crab and several species of fish, including salmon. Chris was very personable and nice to visit with throughout the trip. He was accommodating to our boys as well. Definitely worth every penny and more. If you're looking for a great charter, go with Chris for sure!
