If you're here to make the most of fishing in Cocoa Beach, look no further than Utopia Charters. Captain Craig will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from their local experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Redfish, Speckled Trout, Snook, Tarpon, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Jack Crevalle, Sheepshead, Cero Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, and anything else that bites. You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, we can provide. And, you can't go wrong with snacks!

Your vessel for the day is a 26' Andros center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

It's always wise to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

knowledgeable and friendly guide!
Half Day Trip – River on June 26, 20264 adults1 child

We had an amazing day with Craig! He knows these waters inside and out. We went after tarpon, cobia, mackerel, and whiting while teaching us about fish and bird behavior to help locate fish. He was fantastic with our teens and especially our 9-year-old, whose casting improved more in one trip than it has in years! We also loved seeing dolphins and turtles and hearing stories about the island along the way. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, friendly guide around Cocoa Beach, Craig is the best. Highly recommend!

I'm a 5th generation Floridian and have spent the majority of my life on the waters all over this great state. I was also a teacher for decades here, and find my passion for both fishing and teaching combine to help those coming on the boat have a great experience. I love cruising the mangrove islands here in the Banana River Lagoon for redfish, trout, and snook; but there's something fun about cruising the beaches in the warmer months looking for tarpon, kingfish, and cobia. I prefer live bait fishing, slow trolling, or sight fishing. but I really love putting novices on fish and watching them feel that red or king pulling. It's such a rush.
